Another issue with this cancer is that it is similar to others with a usually poor prognosis like pancreatic or lung cancer. The reasons for this is not because they are especially malignant, but that there is no common test that can screen for it early enough. These cancers are usually found in a late stage and tend not to respond well to traditional therapies in the long term.
For now, the only thing that can help people to look at their own health is the discovery of being exposed to asbestos. If you have been exposed to this particular toxin in any extended period of time there is no reason not to get checked out.
